they more so take the jobs a typical US citizen doesn’t want.. for super cheap. a big problem is the fact that US citizens are (in simple terms) lazy, and don’t want to do these jobs. Janitors, construction, waiter/waitress, things like those that require actual labor, most don’t wanna do. Of course there are citizens that do work them (in case someone tries to say ‘US citizens do those you liar!’) but theyre the jobs most view as “low” and dont wanna do

Yeah I can. Just because ICE has problems doesn’t mean we don’t need it we just need it run differently for the obvious reasons of security. They’ve been abusing power but realize the reality of illegal immigration, it can be a national security threat. I think people forget that other countries literally send in people to take over governments and keep tabs. You aren’t very smart. Yes we have bad citizens too that should be taken care of. heres the thing: immigrants (illegal and legal) who rape, assault, murder, etc. things extreme, should be deported. immigrants who are trying to get a better life for themselves, their kids, ones who are trying to escape from dangerous countries, should be allowed to stay. they’re not the ones causing any harm.

so illegal immigrants cant get almost anything. they can get emergency medical care, they can get school meals at a lesser price or for free (but these are kids), and help from the community and thats up to the state. they cannot get SSI, healthcare, TANF or SNAP. your tax dollars are going to the presidents ballroom.

I don’t think anyone would be opposed to doing those jobs for a decent wage though. That’s where my point is. Yes, US citizens don’t want to do them but any person would do said jobs if they paid more. Just why would I go do janitor work if I can make more flipping burgers? (Hypothetical idk the difference in wage just throwing out an example)

That’s exactly what i pointed out at the end of my first statement- however you could also argue that due to immigrants and these companies knowing they can get away with it both does the damage. It goes hand in hand. I blame the companies more than anything.

You know, I heard or read somewhere that MAGA doesn’t willfully misinterpret information, they simply don’t have the information necessary to reach the conclusions others have. A lot of times if you actually sit down with them and present new info, they’ll listen and consider it. I think I was being hyperbolic in calling them heartless to make my point, but I agree.

The companies could and do also get away with similar violations of laws with impoverished people or legal immigrants. They can take advantage of anyone without the power to hire a good lawyer and sue them over it. Thats unless our governments (federal and local) can get it together and start properly enforcing the law on corporations.
