The issue is it’s an Ivy League school. These are the men who become our Supreme Court justices and or secretaries of defense and the fucking president of the country. An Ivy League University student should absolutely be held to the highest standard of moral action and the administration should absolutely enforce and embody that. No college should get away this this, especially not a renown school

When a prestigious institution sets the precedent that their male students are more important than their female students, to the point that men can get away with rape on campus, YEAH it’s a sorry excuse for a school. No hate on the professors or the other students going there, but the school it’s not the “one of the best schools in the country” if the female students enrolled there are in danger of being raped and having their futures stolen, while rapists walk free.

Cornell University student (Jane Doe) was drugged and raped for seven hours by seven frat boys, one of whom was a friend she trusted. There were zero criminal charges and the only punishment was to write an essay to get by. Only two of the students were expelled and there is no foreseeable trial. One student sent into the fray snap chat with (I do not know the exact number but it was around 40 I think) other members of the fraternity and none of them said or did anything to protect her

You can say that none of them should be considered prestigious but the fact of the matter is a lot of the people here probabaly applied to schools like these because of they wanted prestige and actions speak louder than words. And I’ve condemned the actions of those seven multiple times but you’ve chosen to ignore that part. I have no issue with ppl insulting the president or those criminals. I insult them as well. But calling Cornell not prestigious is flat out incorrect
