It requires all of my strength to not say “I know you’re not that mad, you’re in your luteal” to my girlfriend. Mind you anytime I feel those words coming up, at least 48 hours later her period starts, so I’m not just being misogynistic. It’s facts.

No it is misogynistic bc you believe her feelings aren’t valid when she’s close to her period

Because she’ll curse me out and cry if I got 3 shots of espresso in her Starbucks instead of 4, after she said 3 but I know she usually gets 4, so I should’ve gotten 4. This is what happened Saturday. Her period started today.

That’s not her period’s fault that’s just her being an asshole

I think the hormones make her an asshole

Hormones don’t make us do anything. It can make it easier to be upset, grumpy, or mad, and sometimes we have to work harder to not react strongly bc our emotions can feel a bit heavier for us, but behaviors are still a choice she made. Her agency doesn’t get removed bc of where she is in her cycle. It doesn’t for any woman. She’s not a slave to her hormones with no choice but to be an ass, she actively chooses to be. Probably bc it’s the easier choice, and a little bit that you let her.
