There have been SO MANY TIMES on Yikyak where I’ve gotten DM’s from dudes replying to my vent posts where they’d say like “Omg that sucks…:(“ or “I’m so sorry to hear that. That must be very hard for you.” And I’m kinda just like, “Oh wow, you actually gaf? That’s so cool.”

But THEN, when they find out I’m a dude, they literally call ME a f@990t (I am gay so I can say it), and they call me too emotional or something because THEY assumed I was a girl.

And this happened SO MANY TIMES where dudes would pretend to care about some random ass vent I post, and the SECOND they find out I’m a dude, they get so insecure and hostile. Another thing I’ve noticed too is that they lurk on these vent posts and try and find girls who are emotionally low, so they can be the knight in shining armor who comes and saves her, all in hopes for her snap or something.

Because they have this fucked up mindset of “If I comfort this girl online, she’ll send me pics of her boobs if I’m nice enough!”

It’s damaging for the women (because they get reminded that most men will only see them as an object, and don’t ACTUALLY care about their feelings.) and it’s ALSO damaging for the men (because men claim no one cares about them, but in reality, it’s men not caring about EACH OTHER! Have some genuine empathy and help comfort your bros and other men, instead of only wanting to help someone with shitty ulterior motives.)
