My mother is cognitively declining, and I feel so awful when I get frustrated with her. I don’t yell but I get short and I feel terrible when I do. She barely acts like the mom I used to know and it feels like living with a stranger.

when i worked in senior living it could be a lot, we had a book/program called “meet me where i am” (author: mary ann drummond) and it had some solid advice on how to handle things
