i never understood the “they’re a kid they don’t know any better” baby i’ve been woke asf since 8 years old. if someone is old enough to be openly homophobic then they’re clearly old enough to understand basic politics

Nah some kids are taught that it’s evil and stuff. If you already had the foundation instilled in you that everyone is equal then yeah you could probably figure it out on your own. But if you’re taught only hate then it makes sense that as a sheltered child you only know what you’re surrounded by. It sucks but give some people some grace tbh. If they still feel that way once they’ve experienced the world, THEN it’s fair to judge them lol

Ok but you said kid and specifically gave 8 years old as a reference point so I was talking about kid as in children that age. I also get where you’re coming from but sometimes you have to meet people where they’re at. I think you should look up how/where people get their values and morals. One of the biggest factors is parents. Society/culture is also up there. Ignorance is not stupidity. It’s not having the relevant info to make the best decision.

Idk who you’re talking about or if they’re a celebrity I was just saying in general. And as woke as you claim to be, you actually sound very sheltered. Not everyone has the same life or experiences. Idk what’s not clicking for you but whatever. All I’ll say is look at Marlon Wayan & their previous jokes as an adult to their current lgtbq allyship after their child came out as trans. 🤷🏽‍♀️ or don’t lol. They say common sense isn’t common so oh well lmfao
