I studied abroad in england and can confirm they ate w a lot of stuff my favorite ones are: mate “cmon mate” “thats my best mate”, flat instead of apartment “come to my flat” or “my flatmate” i love the word flatmate so much better then roommate or apartment mate or suite mate, i love “where abouts” its so cute i would tell new people im from america and they would be like “oh where abouts” 🥹 they r so cuteeee

They also say “cheers” a lot which can replace both thank you and goodbye i’ve held a door open for some people and they’ve responded with just saying cheers or like at the very end of a conversation and walk away they’ll say cheers
