one thing that always pmo is when ppl r like if u say “sorry i have a gf/bf” it means they’re unloyal bc they’re sorry they can’t date them??? like what r we on it’s actually just polite to say sorry

Fr idk how anyone interprets it as an unloyal thing when it’s clearly a “you stuck your neck out to ask this, and rejection is hard, so I’m sorry that you’re being rejected rn” rather than ANYTHINGGG else. You say sorry when someone gets hurt, physically or emotionally. It’s empathy

When someone mistakes me for an employee, I say “sorry I don’t work here”. Doesn’t mean I wish I worked at the store, it means I’m sorry I’m not what they’re looking for

Sorry as an automatic response fits far better for most people. No flat out feels harsh and cruel instinctively to me, I feel the need to soften it
