We could have some of the cheapest gas in the country if the leadership in this state wasn't so adamantly opposed to pipelines or offshore fracking. There's a huge brick wall separating them from the actual everyday people here

We import way more of our oil than the rest of the country does, and the lack of pipelines connecting our state to the rest of the country means we have to import much more oil from the Persian Gulf...meaning the Hormuz crisis is directly impacting our prices to a huge degree

Not only that, California also has a “special” blend that is supposed to be better for the environment but….we have to have that manufactured in Asia and then brought over….actually hurting the environment more and supporting worse working conditions for the people who work in the refineries…..
