if you bring it up a narcissist most likely won’t just claim to be one unless they have accepted that and don’t mind being labeled as that, but your best bet is to look out for the signs. and base your judgements of how he is rather than just going off one comment made

I would say no one worth dating would say that they’re a narcissist as a joke. I dated one on accident and it still effects me three years later, despite being in a good relationship now
