learn to make your own clothes, look for clothing swaps in your area or start your own. literally just ask your friends to swap. steal from large corporations if you must. yall need to learn the game. there is no excuse anymore

also…. rewear clothes you don’t need a million sexy tops. a couple will do, you can style them with different bottoms and accessories or even a different makeup look and make it look completely new. you can even wear the shirt you have differently like tuck it into your bra, or tie a long sleeve into a halter top, turn a scarf into a skirt.

that was one example… I listed many. people even listed our other places u can shop. also making your own clothes doesn’t have to be expensive at all! u can get a sewing kit and some thread from the dollar tree and libraries have free sewing machines you can start altering ur clothes anytime u want :) I grew up dirt poor but i never let it stop me. you don’t have to stop buying from anywhere you don’t want to. but I think it’s ridiculous to make zero effort to ethically consume.

Shein uses child labor and steals ideas from small businesses, esp those led by POC. Fast fashion is one of the leading causes of the climate crisis. What more do you people need? I make my own clothes by thrifting and I literally just use fabric scissors and basic sowing which took a day to learn. you’re just fucking lazy.

burlington & ross are cheaper than shein. can also try on & make sure it’s your size. no consumerism under capitalism is ethical but there are ways to make it better
