I mean without any context, it is just kind of a sweet thing, like the husband could do the same thing for his wife and no one would bat an eye, but yeah patriarchy ruins everything

idk why i can’t reply to 4 but thank youuu i also realized as i was commenting and stuff that what really annoyed me was people acting like she didn’t love him just bc she didn’t pack his lunch lol

i think it’s a post ww2 think alongside the nuclear family yk. husband goes off to work, wife stays home and has to take care of the kids and cook and stuff yk that’s why it’s normalized. but that’s all like suburbia propaganda bullshit yk

no you’re so right. i just think it’s weird when a woman says she doesn’t do that and everyone acts like she hates her husband :/

yeah it’s not even really someone doing it that i care about bc it’s very sweet but it’s the response when a woman doesn’t do it that weirds me out. why are people acting like he’s going to starve, he’s a grown man he can figure out his food situation like every other adult 😭

nah that’s not what that means women work significantly more now than they did in the 50s so it’s less common but it’s still thoughtful to pack lunch for your partner i just wish women weren’t the only gender who usually did it and it was less of a requirement

Yeah I agree Especially if both people are working they could like do rotations of who packs lunch when Or if one isn’t a very good cook then they can just not cook and take care of something else, although you should be able to make food because before you lived together you had to have been getting food from somewhere lol Ultimately everyone should do whatever is best for their individual relationship

I think she means for two working adults Why is it normalized for the woman to do all the cooking and packing? Unless they are working like a team where wife packs one day and husband packs the other day
