its taken me about a year, but i started my weight loss journey at 252lbs, now im at 202 :) Still in the 200s, but since starting prozac this year, losing the weight has been so much easier. So excited to see that seemingly eternal 2 turn into a 1.

After the first year of commitment, persistence, significant changes, the key is maintenance. You’ll always fluctuate (I still have periods where I’m a little more than I’d like) but it’s a lifestyle change ultimately. The day I realized “wait.. I have to do this FOREVER now..?!!” was ROUGH tbh. But I’ve reached a weight/size that I’m comfortable enough with to find peace in the normal yearly +/-10lbs. My measure: if my clothes fit, I’m in my goal “window” (I have an ED so I can’t use a scale)

Prozac helps you lose weight? Interesting, it helps me gain it! (I was underweight to start with so that's not a bad thing)

Hihi! I used to be 360 at my heaviest, the most satifying thing was breaking the 200s. Now I’m in the 250s, and the journey is hard, but it is the most reassuring thing ever just seeing little milestones (even ones not on the scale!!) clothes fitting differently, sizing changing, ability to move more easily, those feel so freeing. You got this I believe in you 🫶💕

its supposed to be a neutral med for weight! a lot of people w EDs get prescribed prozac for that reason, i got prescribed it since i was also concerned about gaining weight. for me i think its helped me clear up my habits of eating out of boredom, stress, being emotional. i've noticed my appetite has changed a little too so i'm not really huge into snack foods and sweets anymore.

my theory is that it helps with mentality around habits/eating which can help if you need to either lose or gain weight
