100% this is exactly what happened to my ex I had to constantly reassure him that he was enough and I loved him with my whole soul but he never believed me. He was so insecure to the point he convinced himself she’ll leave me anyway and just started treating me like crap so I did. This thinking never goes anywhere good and if he would’ve just trusted me I wouldn’t have left him

Happened with mine too lol at a certain point I'm just not interested in essentially being called a liar all the time like you either believe me or you don't and if you don't, what are we doing?

Literally! Like I get reassuring your partner but it gets to a point where it’s like you are just calling me a liar and it’s not even doing anything anymore
