I feel like fifty years from now people will look back and be like wtf was wrong with society. There’s two sides to this. Ofc making a joke about others trauma when they’re clearly upset is horrible, but dark humor is a well studied valid form of coping mechanism so don’t shame people using it to help themselves heal

I mean dent science behind it all you want if it makes you feel better I suppose. Further isolate your friends using humor to make connections during the worst part of their lives by denying them their healing that’s cool too. You can communicate your discomfort in the humor without shaming those who have to use it. You’re ironically screaming about empathy while having none in this comment
