unfortunately they are likely not the only school doing this. they’re just the ones that got caught and because of an independent paper too. if not for the journalist who covered it, i doubt it’d make national news considering it happened 2 years ago.

so as someone from Cornell who was also SA’d this is not the take you think it is. why am i and other students that have also suffered SA being harassed for going to Cornell. i feel for Jane Doe and I hope she gets the justice she deserves, but as a first-gen low-income immigrant who was SA’d and didn’t report due to feeling shame, i was lucky i had supportive faculty and Cornell Health counselors that allowed me the space to heal while still working my ass off to get that Cornell degree
