People downvoted me when I made a post saying the reason why gen z can't find jobs is because their resumes are shit but my friend whose resume was SHIT got a job 1 month after I fixed it when she was looking for 10 months prior. Your resume is the issue

My resume is literally perfect and still can’t get a job. It depends on your career field and where you live too

Obviously career field and location are big factors but most of the time if you can't get a job for 6+ months your resume probably isn't perfect

I have two degrees and graduated with honors, 2 high level internships, 2 leadership positions in national and international honor societies, 6 years of related job experience, 2 certifications related to the field, 10+ years of volunteer work and a founding member of my school’s community service club, and 3 highly known and respected people in the field as references. Going on 7 months unemployed. Only had 3 interviews in that time and half never called me back

Okay girl idk why you're so offended by this post lol. But since we're talking, just because you have a lot of good stuff that could go on your resume doesn't mean your resume isn't trash. Your actual experience doesn't matter if you can't convey it well on paper. I'm not saying that's 100% the case for you but I am saying it couldn't hurt to maybe consider you might be wrong and do something to fix it instead of just being so stubborn about it

I’m just saying making blanket generalized statements about the job market rn and barriers to entry isn’t helpful for anyone

I'm just saying obviously whatever you're doing isn't working and a quick an easy fix might just be reworking your resume but you'd rather be all defeatist instead of trying something that's simple and seeing if it works. I literally will look over your resume and tell you if it sucks or not lol you let me know
