like i swear on everything im not even rage baiting but it looked like if a college student did the prosthetics for a short film about an alien or something. student done AT BEST. extremely dissapointing imo and im just very shocked at how much praise it got

and i’m not a makeup artistic by ANY means but i don’t think it matters. if art is good quality, it doesn’t take experience in the craft to see it. it shouldn’t take another skilled makeup and prosthetic artist to see that your work physically looks good. maybe a fellow craftsman might be able to appreciate the effort and complexity more, but overall, anybody should be able to look at elordi’s makeup job and say something like “wow that’s incredible he really looks like a real frankenstein”.
