Heyy, I use to feel this way to buy trust things change, ik the idea of working for the rest of your life sounds scary but life can be what ever you want to be, I’m going to college bc I have a passion to help ppl but my sister didn’t like school and didn’t want to work a regular 9-5 so she became a content creator and she has her own house and can provide for her family, my brother dropped out of high school and joined the military and now he’s a pilot. I think ppl have a habit (including me)
of trying to figure out their entire life at once, hoping it’ll help them find their purpose. But all that really does is create stress and make us compare ourselves to others. The best advice I try to live by is to cherish the little things. I know it sounds cliché, but I’m completely serious. I love sitting outside and just enjoying the weather, feeling the sun on my skin, breathing in the fresh air.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. life can feel really discouraging when it seems like work just eats away at all the freedom and joy we used to have. You’re not wrong for feeling that way. But I think there’s still so much more out there to experience, even if it’s not in the traditional “career” sense. There are little moments and people who make life worth sticking around for. Maybe
I really did use to feel the way you feel so trust the harder you try to get out of that mindset the more you’ll appreciate life, if your unhappy with your job maybe try looking for different one, one more aligned with what you love to do, better work environment, better scenery 🤷🏽♀️
i appreciate the comment and i agree with the sentiment but the bottom line is that i have zero interest in work of any capacity regardless of the field but the reality of life is that if i want to survive i have to do that, so ive decided im satisfied with what ive seen and done in life so what’s the point in continuing it if its only gonna get less enjoyable the deeper into life as i begin to have a fulltime job and less and less time to do whatever the hell i want
really do try to find a hobby or something you love to do, reading books/comics, learning an instrument, playing a sport, even just watching movies or tv shows, just find something to look forward to or something you can use to set goals in life. ik it seems like ur life will be full of work but you’ll prob have more free time from a 9-5 than you would with school/uni and even a 9-5 isn’t necessarily what sort of job you’ll end up getting, don’t give up b4 you’ve even seen what the future holds
