The dude would cancel plans that we had months in advance just because his dad called him to get him some snacks from the grocery store. Had an anniversary dinner planned and his parents knew that then his dad was like “let’s watch a movie today” and he would cancel on me no question because “family comes first”

To me I was raised if you have plans it’s very disrespectful to cancel them on someone and he would do that to me all the time.

Don’t get me wrong sometimes it’s understandable if there is an emergency I’m not a dictator but he would never tell his parents no like dude it’s my birthday just because ur dad wants a chocolate bar from the grocery store doesn’t mean you have to cancel on me?? Tell him no
