You are right, but most people will refuse to comprehend it. Able-bodied people are always the first to eagerly dismiss something as “ableist” and have no idea what monumental challenges we have to endure for a lifetime.

Their refusal to learn isn’t our issue to correct. The work’s been done, they have to take up the mantle. Being disabled can absolutely suck, but it’s not the end of the world and it’s nothing to be ashamed of and I’m tired of people making it seem like it is.
