my least woke opinion is that I genuinely believe people who identify as demisexual or asexual are either immature or traumatized have yet to talk to someone who identifies as either and doesn’t fit this classification

what’s immature about asexuality

can you explain how that equates to immaturity?

I can see where you got that from my statement, to be clear the “concept” of asexuality (and to a lesser degree demisexuality) is not in itself immature. However, I have not found an asexual/demisexual *person* that does not fit one of the two categories “traumatized” and/or “immature”

I guess I should’ve been more clear in my wording. It’s not necessarily that these sexualities = immature/traumatized. But I’m trying to say that I’ve never met someone that identified as one or the other sexuality and didn’t fit one or the other characteristic/experience(s).

You basically said the same thing without explaining how it correlates to immaturity…

like what does immaturity mean to you & how do asexual individuals display said immaturity?

Right I repeated my statement in a different way because I was trying to demonstrate that you’ve misunderstood my post. I don’t see any reason to answer a question about an opinion I’ve neither taken or hold

It’s because you can’t even elaborate. I asked very clear questions lol

To be even more clear: you are asking a question that is not relevant to my post or has anything to do with it. I am not equating the two.

It quite literally does you just don’t have a solid stance

I stated an observation that is not objective or gives any strict definition of “asexuality=immature”. You asked me a question about an objective statement, my statement is not objective, therefore your question is irrelevant

You’re also wholly ignoring the other classification of “traumatized”. Why is that? Does this feel like a personal attack and that’s why you’re refusing to properly read my words?

Because I understand how trauma can relate to asexuality that’s pretty self explanatory but I’m confused how it relates to immaturity.. which you don’t seem to be able to explain

Ok, let’s frame it in a way that you will understand then: sexual trauma -> childhood regression -> aversion to sex due to “immaturity”. Just one example of how this can be a correlation but, again, I am not claiming it is equal whatsoever or in any of this have I said that. You asked a disingenuous question.

But what I *have* claimed is that I’ve seen asexual people always be immature *or* traumatized. Never did I imply one over the other in frequency, and so now I will clarify that: I generally only really ever see the traumatized type for asexual people. Even in my “immature” example, you’d only know their trauma through knowing they were in childhood regression rather than *actually* immature. But it can still be perceived as immaturity
