you’re being downvoted because it’s not an equivalent comparison women are marginalized on the basis of gender, men’s resentful & objectifying attitudes towards women are part of a broader system of violent oppression. men experience privilege on the basis of gender, women’s resentful & objectifying attitudes towards men are *retaliation* against oppression, and women do not currently hold the collective societal power necessary to enforce structural subjugation the way that men do

to be clear, this isn’t me saying “it’s always totally fine for women to say hateful shit about men”—there Is such a thing as taking it too far, and either way I don’t blame you if remarks like that feel bad to see. just explaining why it’s not really the same thing
