Hot take. Not being into politics isn’t cool or helpful. (Pick the side that wants free healthcare, isn’t supported by the kkk, doesn’t wanna protect pedos, don’t storm the US capital, doesn’t fill their cabinet with tech billionaires and yes men, illegally detains humans and throw them in concentration camps) but that’s a hot take I know

not being a liberal or republican is definitely not the same as “not being into politics”. socialists, communists and anarchists are all examples of this

Are you just unaware of the fact you could make a list that long about terrible things both sides have done? You think you're better than other people because of the side you're on. Guess what. Everybody in both sides think that. That's what the system wants you to believe. Surely if you're thinking aligns EXACTLY with what the govt wants you to think you're probably not better off than anyone else you're literally just falling for their distractions. Think INDEPENDENTLY.

Never said I wasn’t into politics I have my own opinions but also in this day and age to be upset at people for not wanting to get involved in such stressful, anxious and difficult topics, isn’t unreasonable in my opinion, they are making a choice to trust the system in that moment to take care of them. Also what #4 said

oh. well now that #1 is explicitly making excuses for people who Do deliberately avoid any subjects they would classify as “politics”, I feel naive for having assumed the best re: what they meant with that first comment

Who tf said that? I meant the way people get genuinely violent or cut people off over which side they agree upon when both support corrupt systems. And I believe there is a difference between human rights and politics and can separate them.

you did lol, you said that. “making a choice to trust the system”, what you were describing was willful ignorance. and you think human rights aren’t political? clean drinking water is a human right and they still don’t have that in Flint, due in part to systemic racism. what even counts as a “human right” is itself a political issue. you sound incredibly naive
