all you need to get started is an app like uTorrent on your PC and a site like Pirate Bay. the search function on PB is pretty self-explanatory, and then when you find the thing you wanna download, you click the “magnet link” on the version with the most seeders

seeders = how many people are collectively uploading pieces of that thing for other people to download, the number shows up in green next to the file name. the red number is “leeches”, how many people are downloading simultaneously without uploading in return. this is all just the surface level, but while you’re using a public (i.e. not password-protected) tracker (torrent database), you’ll wanna end the file transfer once it’s done downloading bc people are more likely to get in legal trouble-

-for uploading as opposed to downloading. although generally your risk isn’t Too high as long as you aren’t downloading the kinds of tv shows, movies and music that could be considered especially profitable or mainstream at the moment
