I love how different humans have varying levels of proficiency in various species’ respective languages, I feel like that especially confirms what you’re saying i.e. I find cats fairly easy to understand, I know they tend to care about boundary-respecting, autonomy and consistency. but I don’t speak dog whatsoever, while to other people, it’s clear canine communication is practically second nature to them
