OK, put on a condom use some form of contraception. I’m so tired of these excuses; they don’t make sense. You know you don’t have access to healthcare, so why the hell would you have kids if you don’t have access to it? If you don’t have access to it, the kids won’t have access to it, common sense. Stop having kids in poverty. Wanting to have sex is not a reason you want to have sex use a condom.

The health department gives away condoms for free, and the health department is free. Then again, if you don’t have access to healthcare, then just don’t have sex. Simple as that.

It’s actually a really sad situation most of the time. Lots of poor people with many kids are just uneducated or have mental issues. The system we have barely gives sex education and financial education in affluent areas and in poor areas the parents don’t know anything either.

When I went to school, we were provided with sex education classes, and it was mandatory to take them. Now I know most schools probably don’t have them. But they should even in college. The amount of young adults who will get pregnant in college and can’t even afford to take care of themselves is wild. That’s why people really should look at the circumstances they’re in. Just do and not understand the consequences. And you can’t put a system in place because of rights and entitlement. But it’s getting crazy the amount of kids that are being born just to be placed in foster care. It’s ridiculous and that’s why these kids end up repeating the cycle and have a hard time getting out of poverty themselves.

You are lucky because you probably had parents or some other authority figure to push you into paying attention. Poor kids have busy parents or parents who just don’t care and they have no reason to pay attention. Even if they had sex ed classes why would they give a shit. With had no reason to try and so they didn’t and they just carry that throughout their life. Plus with the huge push for everyone to go to college these undereducated underfunded people end up in college with the media propaganda of vapid sex and boom there is the problem of which u talk. But it’s not (entirely) an individual failure because it’s a multitude of systemic failures.

No, I looked at my own situation and used my brain. I grew up in poverty and was severely abused as a child. We moved so much that the school thought we were military, and CPS was involved. We were staying in hotels, on people’s couches. In a car, in houses that were so badly neglected that we are lucky to be alive. Was barely passing classes. I left home at 18 and never looked back. So don’t assume just because people chose not to have kids that they had a rainbow world. No, some of us just have common sense. Growing up and being better than what you were raised in. So yes, I advocate for children because no child should be forced to live in harsh conditions and in poverty. Nobody asked to be here. Those kids didn’t ask to be here. So if you can’t provide the bare minimum for those babies, then you shouldn’t be having kids. Period.

And many poor children are very much intelligent and creative because the situation you are in forces you to be. How to stretch a doctor, how to budget money. How to calculate what you have and if it is enough. How to wrap the system around your thumb. How to make something out of nothing. But because nobody’s pushing them and supporting them, their intelligence gets buried and they can’t excel the way they want.

And I have been in the same position as you are right now in thinking that people are just idiots, and I still think that way for a lot of things but I have come to learn that not everyone gets to have the self reflective nature that I got. I’m not particularly talking about the extremes where you and me come from but the mediums where the less gifted poor people exist. Without a system to help them they don’t come up. They just do what gives them animalistic pleasure.

You seem unreasonably angry that people make mistakes as if their shortcomings are so bizarre. The same people who didn’t look ahead and had kids in a bad place are the same people who can’t look behind and see that their actions caused the situation. I don’t like to be punishing of ignorance, the people who do idiotic shit like that are often just simple and never were pushed to be more than in the immediate moment they are now.
