the more i live as an agnostic, the closer and closer i grow toward atheism. as a former Christian there are no arguments that favor god in the argument of “good”. old testament go is evil 😭. as a formal devout christian there is no way to deny it

I think it was Neil Degrasse Tyson who said that people claim that God is good, all knowing and all powerful, but with everything happening in the world (and the Bible), God can only be two out of the three If he’s good and he knows about tragedies he must not be able to help If he’s good and all powerful he must not know And if he’s all powerful and knowing he must not care

I’m an atheist btw, and I don’t necessarily agree with everything Tyson says, but I’ve always liked the way he put that

i’ve heard these arguments by tyson and think they are very valid, more so in the sense they lead people to criticize the contradictory idea that’s the bible puts out. i personally love tyson, but i also have a lost for astrophysics

i agree, hawking was a difficult mind to coaling to for a lot people. primarily because of his controversial conversations. which tbh, i get, but also i don’t think they are helpful to teach the uniformed the truth
