not even just that, the specific agency who gave her the “lawful order” does not have the right to give her any orders without provable suspicion she is in the country illegally. even if she were impeding the investigation of someone with a warrant, they would have to hand her off to other law enforcement if she wasn’t directly violating specifically immigrations or customs law.

idk if it get’s dicey restricting people’s privileges for a medical condition, but AT LEAST if you behave irresponsibly in the field your boss should send you to do the heaps of desk work they have anyway

In a law enforcement field, if the officer has experienced a traumatic experience, they are restricted with their capabilities. That includes firearms.

right, that is based on the experience and not specifically ptsd as you can’t discriminate based on a medical condition

well..yes and no. Regardless of my person beliefs on gun control, I despise what this country is doing and becoming.

yeah no i totally understand that and agree, just making it clear that a lot of people don’t know that post-traumatic stress disorder is a medically atypical response to trauma and not just the act of anyone being significantly traumatized by an event. you can be traumatized and it would be best practice for you not to go back to field work without any atypical brain response or ptsd specifically. does that make sense?
