chubby guys are allowed to have a redeeming personality. chubby women are only “welcomed” when they’re being fetishized, and being a bigger woman is consistently seen as the worst possible form to be as a woman (ex: men who’ve been rejected calling anyone “ugly fat bitch” even if they’re not)

Chubby men are told that women should lower their standards and give them a chance, chubby women are told that their weight is a moral failing

I believe it’s the opposite

It’s a spectrum, on the far end it leans men on the closer end it leans women imo

All we’re told is that we’re lazy and need to lose weight wdym

It has certainly been said to me! Especially in high school I was told I should give the less attractive guys a chance and if I didn’t I was being shallow

That’s not the same thing at all

That is literally the exact thing I said in my initial comment. Many chubby and less attractive guys are given the notion that despite their looks women should give them a chance anyway, this is reinforced by both men and women

And guys are never encouraged to go for the chubby women?

In my experience no, women are told they need to lose weight, put on makeup, get their hair done, nails done, fake eyelashes, plastic surgery, etc to be appealing to men.

And chubby men are never normally told to lose weight and try to look attractive?

YOU being told to lower your standards is not the same as men being told that you WILL lower your standards. That’s ridiculous and you know it. We get told the same shit you do, you just can’t handle the fact that men are allowed to say no to you

I can’t say never but it’s definitely not at the same rate women are shamed for being fat. There have been instances of college parties putting a weight limit for women to enter. Not one for men tho. Also notice how ozempic and GLP-1’s are almost exclusively marketed towards women along with fad diets and diet pills. And how marketing for weight loss is different between men and women. Men are told to lose weight to be strong and healthy, women are told to lose weight because they’re disgusting

Men are allowed to say no, the same way women are allowed to say. The difference is that no one shames you for rejecting a fat or ugly woman. We’re told were ungrateful shallow bitches for rejecting fat or ugly men

Actually, men get shamed all the time for being fat. The difference is that we don’t admit that we care, but we absolutely hear it all the time. And the reason why glp-1s are marketed towards women is because women tend to have insecurity. Men have to act like nothing phases them or else they get called pathetic. And as for the frat party thing, that’s because frats objectify women. No argument there

Men are absolutely shamed for rejecting a fat or ugly woman. Men are frequently labeled shallow for this hell there’s a whole movie about a guy like this

And I’m sure that there is more weight stigma for women than men with all of the body dysmorphia dynamics but to say that chubby men face no shame or discrimination for the same things at all is literally ignorant to actual statistics, culture and stigma
