The only way land couldn’t be an island is if it wraps around the globe and divides two bodies of water So in short every country is an island or is connected to a larger island

There are countries on/within continents, but I don't think each country can be an island country unless it's mostly or completely surrounded by water, also there are continents that are peninsulas but not islands, so the countries within it wouldn't be islands at all

But it’s still an island just shared by different countries
