I don’t know how people live in apartments and dorms with multiple dogs like it has to be neglect at some point, like they need space and a way to get their energy out. Idk I have two cats and all they do sleep and sit on the balcony and watch nature.

I’m sure they go outside to play I hope. Crates to me are abuse and neglect

dogs definitely need a lot of outside time if you live in a small space and it’s shameful to keep them in cages for long amounts of time but cages aren’t a bad thing, it’s like their room/safe space when they want to be left alone!

I have one lazy cat who judges everything and the other eats plastic and unleashes world domination at any given moment.

I have a cat who I’ve never seen happier than when I moved her into my dorm with me, away from my mom who beat her. I never crate her and I take her on walks when she’s interested in the front door. My girls good lmao

Maybe if it’s a first floor and they can let them roam a little

I definitely don’t understand why they put dogs in crates and then get mad when they come home to their house being destroyed. I have a huge crate, but we only use it for the litter boxes because my cats track litter badly. So we took the doors off, and they can come and go freely, but we don’t ever lock them in there or make them stay in there.

That makes sense! It’s like their bedroom, you don’t want to be in your bedroom 24/7

Open door crate and for training as a puppy I completely agree with, dogs love having a safe den that’s theirs.
