I’m not really sure how getting out of a falling plane could be executed and the first priority is to try and get the plane to land anyway not just jump ship

I get what ur saying but it only really makes sense if planes crashed suddenly when flying in the middle of the sky but majority happen during takeoff and landing and at that point there’s no time or air space to jump out of the plane

i know if/when the parachutes cross with each other it can fuck them up. then obviously probably not everyone will be able to even actually deploy the parachute right. but i feel like no matter what, it would end up saving more people than simply letting the plane and its passengers crash?

okay yes it would depend on why the plane is crashing in the first place and what altitude this is happening at you're right...i suppose i was thinking about some general situation where the plane starts failing at a pretty high altitude. but you know what honestly i don't know how planes work and like...yeah what measures would/could be taken in different situations
