Probably because dating apps are moreso hookup apps and many, ESPECIALLY TINDER, revolve around physical appearance? Dating apps (hookup apps) aren't at all a good gauge for what ppl gaf about irl On this note, Tinder does you guys soooo dirty tho. I swapped phones w my friend, every single girl that spawned on his Tinder was a 10/10 baddie. Every guy on my phone was genuinely horrifying, he was perturbed. I think they're purposefully showing girls only the most trifling guys, then slipping in

Yeah that’s fair the algorithms on all dating apps are weird I’ll give you that. But dating apps are used by a majority of people for finding relationships. Not just tinder but the other ones

The study/data you're referencing is specifically from Tinder! But unfortunately, if you're using dating apps to seek out a partner, it's gonna rely very very very heavily on your appearance. Regardless of gender. Bc it's just a random virtual person. You don't have vibes or energy or personality or anything to go off. Just some digital images and maybe some descriptors

Even as a girl, I can't actually use those things 😭 I'd much much much rather just practice patience and meet someone naturally Honestly, mainly because of how appearance based they are. I feel like ppl on the apps only gaf about me for my looks/put too much stock in physical appearance/too much pressure, and I can't at all gauge interest just by looking at some pics of a guy I need that irl energy flow
