I wish women could go to the gym without either being creeped on like sex objects or horribly judged for their bodies, or both

Still haven’t been to a gym at 23 and I don’t plan on it until I can guarantee no men will be there

your comments are shitty 😙 weights don’t cost thousands of dollars, maybe $50-$100 IF THAT and you’re set for life do some sit ups or push ups - look up at home work outs no equipment go for walks maybe you wanted to be babied for being “sexualized” but the reality is that 99% of people at the gym are there to work out not look at you - you’ve just met the 1%

So u must not go outside, go to work, or go to clubs. It sucks men r creeps but if u keep this up you wont be able to get up from the toilet by yourself when you’re 70 and somebody gonna have to wipe ur ahh

I do except for clubs, those things don’t require me wearing clothes that reveal enough of my body to be treated like an object as regularly as women’s gym clothes tend to

I live in a small town and haven’t seen anything like that but I’ll keep looking

U can wear things that aren’t revealing, like “men’s” clothes aka shorts and a shirt. Idk it just sounds like excuses to not go to a gym, men are gonna sexualize u regardless of what u wear or do I fear

The gym is where some of the most sexualization of women occurs from men you can’t deny that. I’d rather wait until I can be around people I feel comfortable with, I know how men think

I do deny that cuz everyone at the gym is there to get brolic not ogle women, I believe sexualization occurs more in strip clubs, bars, and service industries. But im not here to argue ur life outlook. I just want you in the gym asap

Sorry but you’re wrong, a LOT of men are there to work out but ALSO to sexually objectify women. I see men talk about it all the time both at my college and online, it’s easier for other men to be blind to it because they’re not the targets

Because most young people can’t drop thousands of dollars on gym equipment? This app has always been most popular with college students Walking and small strength exercises using makeshift weights at home only give me so much and I’m trying to get stronger for work

I can’t make you acknowledge the struggles women face, I know a lot of men feel uncomfortable with it because then they feel like they’re part of the problem. Part of the problem is actually choosing to be blind to it. Pay more attention to how men talk about going to the gym and the women they see there, thanks though

i am a woman btw yes we face struggles, but we can’t just stop living because of them and assuming that every single experience is the same because it happened to someone else. you’ve made it impossible to give you advice - it’s our job to overcome our struggles, not whine about them and refuse to adjust
