TW I had an abortion and don’t regret it. The guy I trusted removed the protection without my knowledge. Also I was drunk I found out from him nearly 6 weeks after. I was 2 days away from not qualifying for it. That’s why I support women and abortions.

I genuinely don’t understand why people hate abortion so much. So much worse happens in this country but THIS is the one issue they decide to invest in? What about ACTUAL kids being abused? The foster system? Teen homelessness?ACTUAL murder? Corrupt justice systems? Food insecurity and drugs? I’ve never seen people who stomp and kick for the ban of abortion equally passionate about any of these objectively worse issues plaguing society. Every child aborted is a child saved.

i believe i aborted a lump of cells. i also believe that potential life was sent back to God and is forever cared for in a way i was never capable of. i wish people would see its value and saving graces even thru religious context

the thing is even with “exceptions” for rape, it would need to be proved beforehand which is notoriously difficult and also would take long enough that the abortion wouldnt be able to be performed anymore. plus, imagine someone being able to keep his rape baby from being aborted because he has enough money for a good lawyer…

I’d like to add to this by saying that when you set standards for abortions like “only for rape” it’s saying that before I have rights to my own body, it has to be violated first. And that’s just moving one step forward and two steps back

I have been fighting that for years the campus refused to do anything and the courts refused to do anything. I have since moved out of TN completely.

Earlier is always ideal, but it’s hard to know. 6 weeks isn’t enough time to know if you’re pregnant. As for 12+ week, second trimester abortions? They make up so few abortions and are usually emergency/fringe cases, so I don’t care
