Exactly. I was out at my usual karaoke night with friends, we did a shot to celebrate when the AP called our state’s election, and we carried on. I’m still having discussions about various losses and wins and campaigns with people but the YEAH WE WON WOOOOOO being posted by the same people over and over and over bs is uneducated disingenuous and annoying lol

There was a time when I was a child that we (at least I was) told that we shouldn’t talk about how we view them things outloud cuz it can cause division and problems for no reason.

Letting it consume your life vs being a part of your life are incredibly different. Just like doomer politics vs being civically engaged are different. Like I said, I’m very politically active and I’m actively a part of discussions dissecting campaigns of various politicians today. Especially focusing on Nixon in Florida. But am I depressed at her loss and letting it consume me? No. Am I making posts constantly about how I believe she could’ve been more successful? No.

If it’s guns then you’re right however I believe reform is needed and perhaps licensing for certain types of firearms much like we have for cars.
