A lot of us think that the verses in Daniel refer to a spiritual/metaphorical rebuilding of the temple because the new temple is the Church, the Body of Christ (which is us!). I understand and share in the anger towards some evangelical groups who use this passage to cause harm. As for the rest of us, we are not starting any wars :) just a table with an open invite!

many people believe that jewish ppl are actually gods chosen ppl. therefore they feel we must protect them and follow their will, no matter the genocides, human rights violations, etc that they commit
