Seeing all my old classmates get engaged to their first’s makes me feel sad. Why didn’t my first love me the way I loved him?

I often feel this way. I was on the verge of getting married and having a kid with my first and then things ended, and now im bombarded with wedding posts, engagement posts and “we’re expecting “ posts. But im also learning that everyone’s story has a different pace. Just because he was your first love, doesn’t mean he will be your greatest love. There is someone out there who will give you the love and energy you deserve, and as much as it sucks to wait, it’ll be so worth it.

I want to spend as much time as possible with my love. Why do some people get to be with theirs for 70 years and some only get 40?

also you only see the good things from those people because they only show the good things, it could be terrible behind the scenes and you would never know about it and they’re just together because of a kid or because they’ve been together for so long that they both don’t want to start over, just because someone puts on a smile doesn’t mean they’re happy
