What is the just reason to not do bad things? I think anything that stops people from doing bad things is a good thing and the person who decides of themselves that this is bad and decided not to is stronger than the person who never wanted to do the bad thing in the first place.

The same reason you hold the door for someone. You should know better.

But both people held the door though, right? I think the actions speak louder than the thought process it took to get there. I think we are just gonna have to agree to disagree here tbh.

Personally I like to judge people by the contents of them as an individual vs a group. But whatever helps you sleep at night

I think anyone can be jerks or awesome people. Your comment is inheritly judging an entire group of people😭 the hypocrisy is crazy

What makes me a hypocrite? I’m just saying if you base your morals on the expectation of divine reward, you’re not actually a good person. Pretty simple concept.

You literally didn’t even acknowledge there are tons of kind religious people as well. You are so far up into your own biases you can’t even see how judgmental you truly are

It’s human nature to do thinks to expect rewards though. Why does one go to work, to get money, why do we take care of ourselves, to feel good, why do we make friends, to make us happy. There’s nothing wrong guiding your choices to want rewards.

Who cares?! If they are being good😭 always trying to figure out and analyze the intentions is a huge waste of energy. Take the kindness and avoid the hate it’s that simple. You are literally complaining about people being kind, isn’t that crazy????

U are simply not understanding the original post. People, often religious, think they are morally superior than those of another religion or nonbelievers, just because they follow the teachings of their own religion. but for many, not all, they only do good deeds for devine reward and not because they actually want to. they aren’t good people, since if there was no promise of devine reward, they would follow their own greed and conveniences. tldr: calling out people who do t

So you’re saying that if a person feeds 100 homeless people and gives them shelter because that person wants to go to heaven that makes them a piece of shit.
