I’m a part time personal trainer and I have 2 female clients and my girlfriend thinks I should stop training them because she’s insecure, but I’m broke asf and need all the money I can get. What should I do?

all I’m gonna say is I feel like we’re missing some context here

Well I did hook up with one of my clients in the past (way before I met my girlfriend) and I knew the girl prior and there was already tension there. I’m like 80% my girlfriend doesn’t know, but that girl is a friend of a friend of hers, so idk for sure.

“I crossed professional boundaries by fucking someone who was paying me to train her. also I deliberately avoided telling my gf the truth about it even though she and this woman are in the same friend group. anyway, anybody know why my crazy jealous insecure gf doesn't 100% trust me? women be so unreasonable"

My girlfriend isn’t friends with her, her friend is. And I know, I shouldn’t have taken her on as a client, it was dumb. And when I did we shouldn’t have hooked up. And I don’t think I owe my entire sexual history to anyone if it happened before I dated them

They’re not in the same friend group

you said “friend of a friend”. that’s the same general social network, i.e. friend group, dumbass

Okay fine. I had sex with a woman 2 years ago that she every once in a while runs into. Why does that need to be said? What good is that?

yeah, I noticed I misread the part where you said she was a friend of a friend, that’s why I deleted the comment no one said anything about you “owing anyone your entire sexual history” lmfao, you’re just playing obtuse atp. seriously, she’s in the right for doubting you. go ahead and focus on making money, I’m really not sure you’re mature enough for an adult relationship rn

like I said, playing obtuse again. you fucked a CLIENT. your gf is worried about you fucking CLIENTS, something we already know you’re liable to do. obviously your gf has mentioned this woman by name at some point, that’s how you know they “run into each other”, yet you didn’t see fit to disclose your history with her. your gf is worried about you refusing to disclose things to her. gee, I wonder how these things could possibly be connected

don’t pretend you’re asking for advice when all you want is for another man to tell you “she sounds like a toxic bitch bro, you gotta cut her off 💯”

Because I had sex with one woman who happened to be a client, after weeks of flirting prior to her becoming my client, doesn’t mean I’d cheat on her ever. This was 2 years ago.

look, talk yourself in circles all you want, but I already told you why it’s understandable that your gf would be worried. time to grow up and deal with the consequences of your own decisions it’s really alarming that you don’t understand what’s inappropriate about fucking someone who’s already your client, btw

I know it’s inappropriate I did it ONCE and haven’t again.

it’s so fascinating that you 1) get that it’s inappropriate, 2) decided to keep this info from your gf With the knowledge that it was inappropriate and 3) are pretending it’s irrational for your gf to be worried about you being inappropriate with your clients. you’re headed down an awful path, do some course-correcting

take a second, step back, and look at the trajectory of this interaction. notice that you needed to be prompted to elaborate on missing context and how every single reply of yours since then has been defensive. notice that you didn’t even acknowledge the inappropriate nature of your own actions until I said it was alarming that you didn’t know you were being inappropriate this is not how a trustworthy man carries himself. you dismiss your gf as “insecure”, but she’s just being smart

My very first comment I said it was wrong

okay, and then you continuously minimized that wrongness by getting defensive every time you were criticized, and by acting like there’s no reason why that choice you made would be relevant to your gf’s discomfort

Why does it matter what I did WHEN I WAS SINGLE. I’m sure she had sex with people when she was single, that shouldn’t matter we all have a past. Judging your partner by it isn’t right. And like I said, I don’t even think she knows

gave you my earnest perspective on something you acted like you needed advice on, but based on the fact that you keep hitting me with questions I already answered, you aren’t actually engaging with anything I’m saying (because it isn’t what you wanted to hear). I’ve said my piece, I’ll be disengaging now
