this is why I stopped being a Christian. Firstly there’s not even proof God exist. Then, they want you to devote your whole life, freedom, and identity on “faith” why would I do this for something? We’re not even 100% is real? i rather live my life

Ritual and God are not the same. People are flawed and God isn’t. Jesus did not endorse a church and said to follow Him. He is there with open arms to all that choose Him.

I really am baffled by how people interpret the Bible. Like did we read the same thing? Jesus would not want you to shame and punish ANYONE. At the end of the day he just wants people to love each other. His closest friends were prostitutes and sinners I don’t think he really gafs like you think he does. Jesus would WANT you to live your life. the thing is church has been using Christiany as a way to manipulate and control people.

god isn’t flawed? your god allows children to be horrifically abused. your god allows people to die of painful, terrible illnesses. your god and your church believe anyone who falls pregnant, even a CHILD, even someone who will DIE IF THEY GIVE BIRTH, should carry the pregnancy anyway. your god is full of shit and so are all of you. “open arms” my ass.

The spark of human life is sacred to him. Free will exists which then means evil can happen. We live in a fallen world which means affliction can happen. Jesus washed peoples feet and is not an earthly king with open arms.

blah blah blah read a new book. yours is old and flawed and outdated and written by evil men and translated by even more evil men over the course of a thousand years. your “scriptures” have been manipulated to be the most misogynistic, hateful, disgusting rhetoric.

It is clear about the Ten Commandments. It is clear that we cannot live up to them and are flawed. It is clear that Jesus died for our sins and paid for it and are saved by his grace and mercy when we do not deserve it. It is a relationship and not a ritual. It is purpose and not a job. It comes from the heart and not as an investment.

Also who built the infrastructure of the hospitals? Many have their roots to churches. Today we have some secular sources but overall historically it’s the churches to formed these hospitals. Jesus and how he sees human life as a sacred spark is why we live longer today to believers and nonbelievers. Jesus keeps eugenics at bay. There is no time to virtue thus cannot be outdated.

If a Christian shames and ostracizes you for doing something they think is against the church they’re not a real Christian.

Why did god gamble with Job’s life the way he did? That always bothered me. Messed up.

Believing in God isn’t an investment like prime real estate. Job became a witness of believing in God for virtue and virtue alone when the evils of the world broke everything he held on to emotionally. God was above all that and God eventually answered in his time. A lesson to keep eyes on God regardless and his promise outshines anything the world can offer. If we fear the world, that is a roadblock to God. His promise is real and everlasting and that way we are free as He intends.

God can give people ordeals as lessons. Only he can judge. Jesus cried for Lazarus when he died but resurrected him. So why cry if he can heal him? Cost of sin why Jesus cried. God can do anything ordeal or heal. Can’t live off of bread alone without his virtue. So ordeal can happen.

Read on trial by combat in the medieval times. The kings emerged from the fall of Rome. They feared the ecclesiastical courts but didn’t have the legal structure and filled the void by trial by combat to keep the papacy out of their courts. They created ordeal and the person who won is right. Priests and pastors later cited that no one can force God to act because only he can give the ordeal.
