
Devoid of real social connections. We don’t have the time to form them, the patience to cultivate, and the social skills to navigate conflicts. I think that, especially for us who were in middle/hs during Covid, didn’t get to experience formative social experiences that would’ve better suited us for this.
I think that social media and its conceptions of friendship also tainted the true essence of friendship. I remember for years people saying “you need friends that bring value (wealth) in your circle” but forgot that not all friends need to serve some monetary/success related purpose and sometimes we need people to frolic with and go grocery shopping
