i always say two years minimum, with a family death, personal tragedy, and career ups and downs before you really know.

I think one year to get engaged then married after 2 is a pretty good amt of time

I disagree but who cares. If their marriages work out after that’s great and if not who cares. Just make sure when you get married after your 2/3 years yours last. I promise you a marriage lasting has nothing to do with how fast or slow they went into it. Commitment is based on people not timeframes.

Yup!! I’ve always been in long term relationships and usually when people start showing their true colors in my experince is close to year 2

I agree. There are plenty of strong marriages built when they’ve only known each other for less time than is deemed normal by THIS society. People also get divorced when they were married after being together for years. Just because some people can’t see themselves doing it, doesn’t mean others must follow suit.
