well, yes. it says that i've had previous experiences of people very confidently proclaiming themselves "geniuses" in one way or another only to turn out to be stupid or deficient in all the ways that actually matter, and that you may just be falling into this very recognizable pattern i've come to notice.

writers who think they've done something special when they're actually barely literate, an abusive man who throws around the word "theory" when trying to prescribe rules about human behavior despite having no theory of mind himself...many such cases!

nothing's wrong with acknowledging your own skill and knowledge when you have it but i don't know, i think the people who actually have those things tend to just use or share them with others instead of just talking about how much they have.
