Been thinking abt this post I saw abt how men yearning is prized and endearing but when women yearn it’s pathetic and pick-me. It was referencing Carrie Bradshaw and she def has her problems, but is it really so bad to be a woman who yearns?

I feel like women yearning isn’t bad, carrie is just a really bad example because she’s yearning for men who have treated her badly or she has treated badly 😭

I actually did watch that back in the day lol. I will say, wlw yearning dynamics are pretty different from heterosexual yearning dynamics which is what I was referring to in the post. I’ve dated another woman (my first relationship actually) and communicating that yearning was super natural. But in my relationships with men, it’s been hard bc I worry abt how I’m perceived far more.

I get what you mean, especially about being more conscious of how you’re perceived when it comes to men. Pining over a man vs another woman just hits different. There’s a different kind of intimacy to yearning for a woman
