What tf do you do when you’re competing against 30 thousand laid off employees from Meta, Google, Epic, etc. with years of experience

Gotta realize it’s not a competition. A softwear Dev with 10 years of experience isn’t looking for a 60k/y entry level jr dev position, problem is, if they’re not gonna hire a principal engineer for 80k/y w/ 10 years of experience, they’re not hiring a junior dev either tbh. Whole market is a shitshow right now.

Companies don’t care as much about experience anymore. They are switching to AI. Unless you know how to use, run, code, maintain, or upgrade AI, you will have a harder time finding a job. Start learning now. Sadly, AI is the future of computer science.

Wrong, they have bills to pay most of you barely do and live with your parents. Companies will prioritize experience and, previous jobs, and job titles over everything because middle management is stupid
