
Personally I’d see what the trial project is if I make it to that stage. If it’s something small I’d be fine with it. But if the requirements are super specific or you think it could plausibly be integrated easily into a larger app, that’s a red flag. From what I’ve heard, my company gives an intentionally broken program and watches you fix it. You can ask questions and look up stuff.
