I’m so exhausted by professors having massive standards because of AI. Just cause Timmy is obviously using AI doesn’t mean you need to make assignments more difficult for the rest of us and assign even more work.

I agree that it’s a good tool. But if you don’t actually know/understand the concepts then I don’t see how it’s beneficial? Like you’re basically admitting you are replaceable by agents. Why should you be hired if that’s the case?

Based on the fact that I now work with a bunch of folks who went through CS programs in the 90s, 00s, and 10s ? I finished my undergrad in 2023 and it’s already being made worse. And a lot of my coworkers know a lot of people who teach at various colleges across the country with faculty lamenting about how unprepared students are nowadays and how they had to make some courses and assignments easier.
