Computer Science on Sidechat | Its crazy to me how many people legitimately rely on AI to get through college. AI can get you a degree, but it wont get you to retirement. If you only know what AI knows then you can be replaced by AI.

AI is an incredibly powerful learning tool, organizer, interpreter, and even assistant to a degree. But its crossed a line once it gets to the point of submitting AI created or AI assisted work without understanding the work being submitted.

If you fail to adapt you’ll be replaced by AI. Programmers are turning into prompters in the real world, and those who dont are being fired or left behind. Yes, our CS degrees are mostly useless, it’s whatever. Adapt before the normies do

I’m using it to get the degree. Mostly because I’m sunk cost 3years into this major with scholarships so I can’t change it. Sucks being a fraud

Yeah, we’ve hired some AI grads and they were useless and got fired. You gotta learn the real skills.

Knowing how to use and work with AI is extremely important. Without it you wont be as capable or productive as your peers. Being unable to function without AI is an entirely different thing

I agree with this. I’m stuck in a major I haven’t enjoyed since the second semester. All I need is the degree to get in the military, doesn’t matter how I do it.
